Just moved here from the East Coast of Florida. Tried Fat Apple & the pizza was really good. Will definitely visit again!
A year ago I would have left a 3 star review probably due to the doe being thick and after the pizza started to cool it became tough to eat. But recently it seems their crust is much thinner and to die for good. The inside is always empty which is kind of strange since they have a nice sized dining room. The staff is always very polite and friendly. This pizza in my opinion is as close as you're going to get to authentic newyork pizza in fort myers, if you love pizza this is a must try.
We decided to try this place out for the first time and we live very close by. Let's just say I'm not sure why we didn't try them sooner! It was so good! I ordered the garlic Parmesan wings and fries. Fries were amazingly hot which I love me a fresh order of fries. It's really hard to find a place that has and knows how to make a good chicken wing. They were so crispy and the garlic parmmesan sauce was amazing!! They were perfectly fried to a golden color. Perfect size wings. Not to skinny and not to fat. Way better than hotters. And that's a lot coming from me. lol you have to try them.
I phoned in my order, and the friendly person on the other end took my order, read it back to me to make sure she wrote it accurately. She said it would be ready in about 30 minutes. It was ready and waiting for me when I got there. The counter person was very nice and answered a few questions I had about other items. The restaurant was cozy and clean. The pizza was cold when I got home (45 minutes later due to an accident on 75), but it reheated beautifully! It was also delicious cold! Zeppoles were really good- not greasy and not too sweet! Great experience, and we plan to return!
I was hungry at lunch today and stopped in the Fat Apple for great sandwich. The owners greeted me as if I was family and took my order fora hoagie sandwich. This is the one I normally get here with chips and sweet tea. The price is very reasonable and it was one great sandwich. The portions were full and plenty. Folks you can't go wrong at the restaurant because the food is great, the service is the best I have seen and you are made welcome here. It is run by a husband and wife team.
